newy, you might be able to draw statistical comparisons to Karanka, but the two are like chalk and cheese.
Under Aitor we had a shape, a style, a preferred 11 and most importantly we had partnerships all over the pitch. Albert and Emilio knew what each was going to do and how to cover. Same for George and Stewy. Then you had Leads and Clayts who would cover if either flank failed. You had a central defensive partnership and full backs who tucked in when needed. They all knew their roles and did their jobs successfully for the most part. Yes we were a bit rigid at times when chasing a game, but those occasions were rare.
Tell me what our style is now, what our preferred 11 is, where we've got good partnerships and understanding of the roles?
We are just lurching along and even when we stumble on a few results we don't try and improve on what got those results, we bin off the formation and shuffle the pack again.

If Lumley is back in goal then what does that say to Daniels?

There doesn't seem much between the two of them (apart from Daniels distribution is not that of an old lady) but it would hardly help develop any relationships or team spirit.
