Well they've obviously cottoned on and now some articles you can't even read without a premium subscription and you now get this

This must have just started, I read the Gazette online all the time and have never had that message.

I honestly can't see anyone subscribing to something so poorly written and whose main stories are The Best Local Chippy or Beautiful Village in 1hrs Drive of Teesside.

Online can't get much worse as it's with all the hidden ad links that open up if you accidentally click anywhere, but mobile app used to make it bearable as pages loaded faster and comments loaded faster.

No it's not. If you don't allow all cookies it stops you reading whole articles.

They still employ journalists but they have to work from home and there are not many of them. You can count them on one hand.

Reach have destroyed it like my local paper. They’re scared to put the circulation figures out as who would pay £2.20 for that unless the likes of the Council who get it at a massive discount.
