Kavanagh gone to Bradford

I wonder what our connection is with Bradford / Harrogate / Newport - there seems to be quite a lot of youth players going there on loans or permanent deals.
 
I am very surprised by this. The lad has never been given much of a chance in the first team. What was it, 10 or 15 minutes as a sub?
Obviously, the coaches have made their mind up. I cant think of many players who have left to lower clubs that have come back to haunt us, to be honest. I think a few of us thought Harry Chapman might but it never happened.
 
Hmm a strange one. When was his contract up? Carrick and co must have not been impressed with him, it’s all good doing it in the U21s but he hasn’t done much on his previous loans. Maybe the player was pushing for a permanent?
 
Strange one that. Like many others, I was expecting him to break into the first team - if not this year then next.

I kind of agree but Jason Steel and Nathan Wood have bucked that trend.
Although not really coming back to haunt us, they have forged excellent careers after working their way back up the ladder.

Remember he was linked to Chelsea at one point.Struggled to live to his potential like many others.Maybe he will make a decent career for himself.
 
He was out of contract in the summer, I guess he’d already stated he was interested in moving on. It’ll be a low fee, but hopefully we’ve got a good sell on clause added because I think once he settles he’ll score and move up a couple of levels and we need a slice of that
