Been reading about the new wonderkid from Ecuador who Chelsea signed, so thought I’d check out the hype on YouTube.
Wow. This kid looks special.
16 years old and due to join Chelsea when he turns 18, but is apparently flying in this week to join them for a bit of training. 5 caps for Ecuador already, second youngest South American ever to play international football after Diego Maradona, youngest ever scorer in CONMEBOL history, the youngest - and one of the best players - in the last U20 World Cup.
I know it’s YouTube highlights but wow, that range of passing, ball control, technique. Looks combative too, Ecuadorian football is brutal. Bit of Bellingham in there. Might be the next big star!
