Wilder was told a pack of lies
QUITE THE OPPOSITE

It’s like the Teesside tories applauding Boris Johnson for doing such a good job!!

Gaz I understand you looking on the bright side and not wanting to deal in tittle tattle but the rumours around wilder were far more than the usual social warrior miss giving. The fact is that something was wrong very very wrong around Burnley.

The local radio all but said it
The players certainly showed it
The league results point to it

And today the director of football has all but said it. On camera snd on record it’s not even a rumour this time

I just can’t see how you can dismiss this even now.

I’ve yet to see any evidence that wilder applied for another job other than a ‘reliable source’

As far as im concerned it’s all conspiracy without the evidence to say otherwise.

Even so, that's not evidence, he would just say he was trying to motivate the players or something. Total shyte of course but the club would need a watertight case to dismiss him or it could get v messy. It was obvious they weren't fully backing him over the summer window though.
 
Loyalty in football is so rare, Wilder could take a leaf puy of Beale's book from QPR! When you're in red hot form you don't tempt your sides implosion by flirting with other jobs! Especially when you've been given 2 Premier League strikers, An Australian International for £3 million and then in the summer you're given Man City's number 2, The best LWB in the league, a rivals captain, a player who seems to be POTY everywhere he goes and several other decent players.

He was backed simple.

I hope we kept alot of the money and we give the bloody lot to Carrick to go get who he wants along with Scott and our new scout!

Not sure I can blame wilder personally, imagine working under Scott and having to do anything with these players he’s bringing in

What did he exactly say, because to me it’s sounds you’ve interpreted his words, and you think the conclusion is clear, which it clearly isn’t

I wonder if he's saving it all for his Big Arena Q&A Tour (tickets £45 each, no concessions).

don't think he can, he will have signed an NDA as part of his payoff. that might change if he got a new job.
