First series does look a bit like a cross between Footballers Wives & Hollyoaks, but it does massively improve. The 3rd series, when the character focus shifts slightly, is genuinely brilliant.

Acting is great, you are dead right though, it did have a hollyoaks vibe to the filming.

Each episode could have been 15 minutes longer, it all seemed so rushed

It started well but I thought it was a bit naff as it went on, the female lead is very very annoying as is the lad who started the whole chain of events.

Much better in my opinion

Watched both series of Kin which I really enjoyed.
Love/hate was recommended to me. Took 2 episodes to get into the characters then thoroughly enjoyed it. Binged watched all 5 series in Couple of weeks (I'm retired) . It was great.

2nd series starts tonight - 1st series was great watching I thought.

2nd season even better, binged watched both a few months back. Love/Hate on ITVX is another brilliant Irish gritty drama with a few of the Kin actors in it. More brutal than Kin !
