Last chance to buy Season Cards

Another bizarrely last-minute decision. If they were going to stop half-STs, surely the time to announce that was during the early bird window when it might have pushed a few more wavering fans to buy a full ST?

MFC are doing a great job of making easy things look difficult

It might be a sly tactic of trying to get a few more people on board now and then around xmas time they'll do a u-turn on the decision and say they've decided to sell the half season cards due to 'popular demand'.

I don't believe a word the club say any more. PR is horrific at that club.

MFC feels like Tory Britain at the moment, the people behind the scenes seems to have the reverse midas touch when it comes to making decisions.

They’ve ignored literally everything the fans forum have suggested on ticketing - Boro pride memberships, making it possible to attain Chairman’s Drink and Gold Card status.

They’ve brought in digital ticketing with zero consolation.

They’re just ticking a box for fan engagement.

Agree the club treat the fans with disdain at the moment.

The whole digital ticketing farce, the delay in releasing the minutes from the last supporters meeting due to holidays, the u turn when people went mental about fees being charged for sharing digital tickets, banning journalist from the stadium for going against the club, trying to feed journalists reports about a Chuba to BBC Tees, not delaying the kick off against Millwall, point blank refusing to provide any details of how fans were consulted over the digital ticketing strategy, chucking the half season ticketing in the bin.

It has a Boris Johnson press release vibe at the moment.

Poor decision not to offer a half season card...
Isn't there a fans forum or something where these things are raised and discussed with fan representation?

So far

it will be the same doughnut that decided when you opt of a message ticket the form tell you

“ you can buy as-you-go smart phones can be purchased from high-street retailers from as little as £35”

clueless
.....then delete that within days because its absolute horlix!!!

100 percent this.

It is tick box fan engagement exercise. Noted that the chief executive and chairman don’t attend the meetings.

A massive buffer zone between the top table and those who attend.

The meetings need to streamed live in future, just like the local council meetings are. People are rightly questioning the value of the fans forum.

As I put in the other thread - there is no value in that Forum - they are the club patsies and serve no purpose whatsoever ….. and they certainly don’t represent ordinary fans (not that the club would take any notice even if they did - box ticking exercise)

Looks like last years Christmas buyers got lucky, they now have the early bird, a little cheaper than normal.

Only disappointment they should have left it on for younger than adults but older than kids, Christmas sometimes lots of 15 to 18 go with pals and its a good Christmas present for them.

They also need to inform people that the half ST is being withdrawn at the start of the season so people can make an informed choice as to whether or not they buy a full ST, it's really poor just announcing it now IMO...

I think that forum should be an open door policy rather than cherry picking who attends.

The minutes from the earlier meetings are an interesting read.

Like above. Should be able to buy a season ticket at any point in the reason with the price pro rata on the number of games left. Just cut off somewhere near the end.
The value to the club isn’t pro rata though. And nor is the effective cost to the buyer for the same reason. The further in advance you get a season ticket the further in advance on average you are paying for each match you commit to. There will come a point when it’s no longer justifying the discount. (Not as soon as the end of August, obviously, but it’s not a linear equation)

A Season Ticket is and always has been very good value, 9 months entertainment for £20.86p per game plus a free drink worth up to a £5. So it could be £15.86p.
That's why I've had them since I was 7 and I'm 62 now.
Although I can`t go now until December or hopefully slightly earlier depending.

Thats a shame I was going to get one as a present for my son at Christmas. However some on here think our season only starts in October.

Yes. You get a discount for paying up front. I'd stop them being available 5 or 6 games before the end of the season.

Three to dive deadline day deals announced.. a real show of intent from the club and a bumper promotion on season ticket sales..

hope they get it right!
