Think he’s looking a great player for us now. I obviously want us to sign another quality striker in the summer but for me it’s more important we sign the support around him in the wide left and 10 positions.

He could score a bagful next season. Looking the real deal.

Totally agree, if we can get someone to play just in behind him who can read his runs, he will get a bag full, I was hoping Azaz was the answer to the number 10 roll, but watching him he is far more effective roaming deeper.

A goal every 148 minutes in his first season in a new country. He wouldn't need to improve much to bag 25 goals next season. Another option up-front would be a good idea. He isn't going to play 46 games.

Yeah definetly. Not sure who we would go for like.

That finish was sublime, a constant handful, pretty much doing it on his own too when you look at the performances of those around him tonight, with some real quality next to him he could be another golden boot winner
To be fair it was a lovely ball for the assist and a fairly difficult pass to make, given the ball was bouncing.

I never quite understood why some people were so quick to write him off. When he first joined he looked quite raw, but with his movement and pace you knew he’d be a handful. His finishing needed some work but I think he was a bit guilty of trying too hard.

He looks a lot more settled and relaxed now and it’s certainly benefitting his game. He’s scored all types of goals for us so far and he can only get better.

Another to look forward to next season.

Impressed with his work rate too, after about 85 minutes he was battling in our right back area to win the ball back. Looks a really good signing.

You could see from the off he was gonna score goals, he was just trying too hard initially. Some of us need to give to give players a chance, he didn’t deserve some of the criticism he got. I’m pleased he’s finding the net.
He’s got real ability

I think we might if done better with jones on the left this season rather that play him or forrs on the right . Then play them both with more goal potential

That was the 10 th goal of the season for Azaz 👍

Class player. Works hard, jumps high, scores. Best compliment I can make is that he looks better than Archer. Chuba and Lathe together, wow. (y)

I hate to say it, but I was right 😁

Reality is that we play with one striker. If you're going to invest a lot in a player you have to give them chance to play and develop.

Lath's ability and sharpness always seemed obvious to me, maybe not to others, but I couldn't for the life of me understand why people had written him off by January and wanted to splash on another number 9. You can only play one at a time and both Coburn and Lath are promising (and different) enough to deserve time, they're not going to get better on the bench.

Yep, we don't need to be looking for a first choice number 9 in the summer, we have one.

We do need a striker but think we can go for one who is a bit more a project rather than spend big on the finished product. Possibly another from overseas, give them a year to settle.

If we're going to spend fairly big it's the number 10 position for me closely followed by a top drawer centre mid (maybe two if Hackney goes). Then another wide player.

Add real quality in those positions and I don't think we'll be far away.

His touch and finishing has improved significantly from the first half of the season.

Right now, if he's not scoring, he's usually testing the keeper.

Previously he was scuffing shots weakly in to the hands of the keeper or more often than not just failing to get a shot off at all when he was in on goal.

Whether it's confidence, settling in to a new country or work on the training ground, the improvements are great to see.

That goal yesterday was a very assured finished. If you contrast that finish to the chances he was missing at the start of the season, its like night and day! He has slowed himself down a fraction when infront of goal, and is now more assured and calmer. Really excited what he could do next season with a few more additions/players improving to the attacking unit behind him.
