Leeds charging away fans £47

The problem for the club is that the majority of teams bring 1000 max, so if they reduced prices from £31 to say £20 for the 600 Birmingham fans who might turn up then the club lose £6k or so. If we were filling the away section every match the club might consider lowering the prices.

I know people might argue that tickets for £20 might encourage more Birmingham fans to travel, however I don't think a ticket price of £31 is the biggest reason for 600 travelling.

I don't think it makes much sense for the club to refuse when the gulf is so big.

"We'll charge you £31, the same as our home fans."

Unless Leeds were expecting reciprocal cheaper pricing.
I’m pretty certain the last sentence is the point. Leeds expect a concession on cheaper pricing for their fans. Then they charge the same. Cardiff normally charge more than £21.

It’s not a reciprocal “deal” if the other club isn’t charging less than usual as well.

It's a daft system if that's the case, because their own prices for home fans are extortionate and the lower the away prices are, the worse their own prices look.

So if we charge the usual away fan ticket price of £31 and decline the Leeds matching request, due that mean they'll charge our fans £47?

Yes - we do charge £32 this season and £29 for mid week games, for adults aged 18-64 without a disability.

Leeds can be charging £47 - we have been told by most board memeber we are the most expensive Championship Club

Yeah the root cause is that they charge 47/45 for their cheapest seats in the first place which is extortionate.

But people seem to be suggesting that Leeds’s reciprocal price agreement works by saying to Boro either you charge 32 and we charge 47 or you agree to us both charging 32. It can’t be that. All the downside is on Leeds. It must be, either we both agree to charge (say) 25 or it’s 32 amd 47.

Leeds didnt have this option last season due to the £30 price cap, however when away teams brought a small following they charged their own supporters £42 to sit in the same seats .. now that is wrong

Leeds must have stuck another fiver on seats in the West Stand this season despite relegation

We were comfortably one of the most expensive, last season.

Leeds came down, Sheffield Wednesday came up.
