Leeds have sold their away allocation

If you look at road signs on A19, A1 even A171, they say TEESSIDE. When you're driving south on A19, at Crathorne it says welcome to North Yorkshire, same on A171 at scaling dam towards Whitby. So no, TEESSIDE IS NOT IN YORKSHIRE.
Yes it is
Your geography skills needs a tweak cos that's in Middlesbrough on the banks of what river? Oh yes , THE TEES
The south bank of the Tees, which is Yorkshire

Boundaries have changed a lot since 1968 - look at Middleton in Teesdale, the river Tees runs through it and was the border between Yorkshire and Durham now the border is miles South and the Middleton area is called the Durham Dales.

My birth certificate says Middlesbrough Teesside.
What council does your council tax go to, North Yorkshire?
Presume not
It all depends when you were born. All the youngsters birth certificates at present will say Middlesbrough Teesside. Older people will no doubt have Middlesbrough Cleveland on their birth certificates. Pre 1974 no doubt it would say Middlesbrough Yorkshire. As a true Yorkshire born and bred it’s Middlesbrough North Yorkshire for me. UTB ⚽

I can’t be bothered to dig them out but I’m sure the deeds our house in Nunthorpe refer to the transfer of farmland located in the County of York.

Regardless of what anybody says there no doubt at all that we are Yorkshire, it’s just outsiders ignorance.

Which is fair enough because I’m ignorant about other places, for example, why is Leeds in Derbyshire?

Im in Ingleby and sometimes my address comes up as Durham and sometimes North Yorkshire, i think we have ben in a bit of a no mans land for years. Hull is the same no longer in Humberside they are claiming East Riding of Yorkshire now.
