Leeds have sold their away allocation

Tickets are only selling slowly - looks more like 29k to me by Monday.

With 29k, still will be a good atmosphere.
Probably shift quite a few over the weekend.
A lot of walk ups leave it late.
Less than 100 left in the south stand, though blocks 54/55 not opened up as yet.

If you want to sit in the same area of the ground as the Leeds fans you'll have to pay more than them. £35 for home fans £29 for away fans. This so the privileged few that got the chance to go to Leeds away could pay a discounted rate. That doesn't sit right with me.
Reciprocal pricing, fine by me.

Ref: Blocks 54/55

Could they be left closed for this game?

There is likely to be some aggro, because of Leeds situation in the league ands how they have drifted in recent weeks.

No reason why they can't be at least half opened, still leaves plenty of segregation(as against Sunderland).
I noticed no segregation seats at Norwich v Ipswich the other day, just a line of stewards, similar at other big games around the premier league.
If there is any trouble on Monday it would likely be outside the ground/in town, where the idiots can potentially not be caught.

Because it is a privileged few. The vast majority don't get the opportunity due to it selling out.

I think we disagree on this subject Rob.
I will back Humpty up on his Leeds comment - they have a group of fans who are basically super travellers as well as season ticket holders and they can take an entire away allocation.

On their website they had ticket release dates for:

super fans

fans who had been to most away games

other season ticket holders

general sale

Season ticket sales are restricted there too i.e. there is a waiting list.

Going to have to watch this one from sunny Lanzarote 🌞. There is a Leeds bar advertising the game for all proud Yorkshiremen!! Will definitely be joining them in my Boro shirt to celebrate our own little special part of God’s county and us putting a big hole in their automatic promotion hopes 😂😂

Can imagine quite a few Leeds fans will find their way into the Boro end
Wouldn't be hard to do. They could set up an account and buy one away ticket to qualify.
Not sure that many will bother though.
If they get thrown out they could get a ban from elland road.

Our fans would have ended up paying well over £40 if we didn’t agree this deal for Leeds away. It’s well worth doing every season

Lots of Leeds fans around Teesside . How sad IF they get a ticket in the Boro end , get a good hiding and a ban at the same time .
