Why ?We only sellout in the championship for playoff games or promotion deciders.
Big crowds on boxing day, but generally not sellouts. And Boxing Day.
I do think, by and large, our fans turn up to watch the Boro, not because of the opposition in this league. It is the significance of a match to us that boosts the gate.
OK, needle matches do add a few to the gate, but Leicester is hardly that.
Add often Boxing Day fixtures (for Boro fans - Forest in 2014 and 2021, Wigan in 2022 come to mind). Why ?We only sellout in the championship for playoff games or promotion deciders.
With Newy stood in the middle firing off flares in all directions like a man possessed. Will there be a big empty gap where Red Faction stand?
Yes, a big noisy away following stimulates the home atmosphere for sure. Just hope the result doesn't dampen the latter.Add Boxing Day fixtures (for Boro fans).
Close to 28k home fans is our normal limit in recent years for non special games - probably sold around 27.3k home tickets so far out of potential 29.5k - as NB posted there are some seats that have not been released and so far kept for segregation. It is going the biggest crowd of the season to date.
For Boro fans wanting an atmosphere I think this is a game to go to as Leicester have sold out their full allocation

Is Pyro the little Belgian detective? It'll come down to whether Boro or pyro is more important to them.
Good analysis - I think Millwall was around 29,200 its the target for me to be exceeded. I'd expect at least another 500 tickets be be sold for tomorrow's game. some people wait for the last moment to buy a ticket and now with digital ticketing it can be done without visiting the ticket office. The online seating plan is currently the same as it was for the match against Birmingham. Attendance for that game was 28,449 (2,200 away) with 1,612 seats remaining on the morning of the game.
1,383 home seats remaining for Leicester with a sold out away following of 2,563. By my estimate, that would already put the crowd for tomorrow over the 29k mark.
Not sure, traditionally the last home game pre Xmas has a relatively poor turnout.Speaking of boxing day as were away, do you think we'll see a bumper crowd vs WBA on the 23rd instead? This is the closest home game to Christmas. Will the people who live away from Boro be back for Christmas then?
Yes, just noticed another 500 released which bodes well for a big crowd.Just released half of blocks 54 and 55.Definitely going to be over 30k.

Always amazed at how many folk leave it until the last 24 hours before buying. I guess uncertain work commitments play a part.
You've just outed me as an obsessive.I think non-obsessives probs only start to think about weekend plans on Thurs or Fri. Look at the weather, any family needing to be seen, kids got nothing on. If all good then Boro is one of the options. Town should ban movies from being shown between 2 and 5. Would reduce the number of options
