Let's get physical

Time maybe for a more pragmatic approach I don't particularly want McNair and Steffen taking extra chances at the back playing it out early on at least. Having said that maybe we should be thinking bring on the high press as we have the pace and skill to beat it
I think if we are committed to play out from the back then we have to keep doing that.

Whilst I think it will be a very tough game, probably the toughest of all the remaining games, it will be very much closer than last seasons game!

This is where I disagree yes we need to do it but we don't have to do it 100 percent of the time when it's difficult circumstances like say the first 10 minutes when they are pressing like hounds on a scent then to me playing triangles with the keeper is an unnecessary risk . As the game progresses then fine

They play 3-5-2
We need to match them in midfield
Maybe Fry coming on v Cardiff was a trial
-------------------------Steffen
---------Fry--------Lenaghan ----Mcnair
Smith ------Howson ----Hackney---------Giles
------------------------Mcgree
----------Archer/ Forss-------Akpom
We've been much better with a back 4. Barlaser as an additional midfielder would be a better option.

I think Fry will come in for McNair as he is stronger in the air

It's a balancing act I suppose, there'll obviously be occasions where we need to clear it long but the more we do that the quicker it comes back at us.

Whilst I think McNair was partly responsible for the goal on Saturday (he wasn't ready for the pass, which was poor in any case) I do think he suits the passing/possession game more than Fry.

Ironically this was the issue with Fry in Wilders team too. He's an outstanding defender, but McNair is a far better passer, as is Lenihan.
