He will be the best player in the team by a bit of a distance. Looking forward to seeing more of him. He’s the ideal player for a 433 system so hope we change after the break.

Right.. when we got relegated and we had Monk for manager.. I thought our midfield of Leadbitter and Clayton should have been replaced with Howson and Forshaw.

This season Hackney and O’Brien remind me of what that midfield could have been.

No chance of O’Brien not being a starter.

O’Brien hasn’t come on loan to sit on the bench. We could see him and Hackney with Howson on the bench or we might put Hackney on the right and O’Brien/Howson in the middle.

Think O’Brien could be a future captain if we sign him on a long term contract. Howson has played at right back or in central defence in the past and can still do a good job there.
