Liam Rosenior

Seems like another case of owners of the club thinking they're bigger than they are.

He seems to have done a good job in there and got them challenging again for the first time in a while.

No doubt they will blow a fortune bringing a 'name' in who will fail and set them back a la Birmingham.

Hull are idiots.

They did spend a fortune last season and went big in January with some big loan signings, but sacking Rosenior is crazy, without hindsight.

He was nominated for Manager of the Year only a few weeks ago.

Hopefully Hull get an idiot in charge to go along side the idiots who are higher above.

Turkish coach coming in no doubt

That is the fear but hopefully not.

This feels like when we sacked Barmby and we were all annoyed about that, then we recruited Steve Bruce and got promoted to the Premier League, played in an FA Cup Final and qualified for Europe. Through the rage I can only hope we have a better option coming in as we did back then.

There is still a niggle in the back of my mind that Rosenior under achieved quite a lot with what he had available to him on the pitch too.

Mixed emotions.

They finished poorly in my opinion a fact demonstrated by their performance against Plymouth which saw them lose.

Ok they finished above us which I suppose accounts for something but I got the feeling Rosenior came across kind of arrogant when his team didn’t really perform to their potential.

I’d even say they had better players than us especially up front but somehow Rosenior couldn’t get a consistent tune out of them.

What a ludicrous decision. As other posters have said above he would be top of my list when MC eventually moves on. Comes across as a really bright, intelligent and very capable manager and is always incredibly generous in his comments.

Hull need to take a hard look at what he did for them. To pull them away from being relegation candidates last season and then this season come within a game of a play off place to me is worthy of at least keeping your job. Granted he got some premium loan signings and the chairman probably expects better but anything can happen in this league. Look at Ipswich, just because you get the quality in doesn't necessarily mean success. Hull's owner should be careful what he wishes for

Can see paul heckingbottom going there. Maybe rosenior has been naughty talking to other clubs? Sunderland would do well getting him in.

He'll probably get loads of offers in the Championship but I wouldn't be too surprised if Birmingham try and get him.

Big club that *should* come straight back up from League 1, rich and ambitious owners, some good young players, and a nice new renovated stadium.

He was only 4 months into a new 3 year deal.
Of the 18 games since they 'went' for it with their new lineup costing lots of poundies, they won 7 drew 7 and lost 4 , so 1.55 pts per game or 71pts season pts at a 46 game projection.

I’m not 100% surprised to be honest. Lots of investment, nominated for manager of the year and finishes one place and one point above us! I think the owners were always likely to be disappointed. I do think 5th and 6th place were within reach of a number of clubs this year - it was a poor ending to the season for quite a few clubs.

Thank god for Gibbo though. I think under different owners, Carrick might well have been shown the door a couple of times this season.

Rosenior will walk into another job and Hull will regret this I’m sure.
