Songbird Linda Lewis has passed away .... saw her many times in the 70s , worked with Cat Stevens on some classic tracks RIP

RIP - that's the only single by her that I can remember
Hit wise she had a couple of disco type singles that were pure pop ( its in his kiss and shoop shoop song which I believe were covers ) Like a lot of singer songwriters the LP is often the best medium for her talents and Linda make a couple of cracking LPs . Her 1977 Album Woman Overboard (1977) stands out for me personally and Fathoms Deep (1973) is a close second. Lark was her second in 1972 and Not A Litle Girl Anymore (1975)

Saw her myself a few times. She was always very good live.
Always a good seller when I had the record shop in Wingate ... Not rare usually in the £6-£10 pending condition ( 6 years ago tho) maybe double now as I know prices have rocketed

I'm sure she was at Knebworth in 1975 with Roy Harper, Captain Beefheart and Pink Floyd, sadly got booed off, I don't think the crowd was ready for Disco.
