Tricky game later. They've been pretty poor in the last two games, obviously the injuries haven't helped.
I'd hope they get at least the point they need to progress against China but I can't see where the inspiration is coming from to get them to the next level when they meet someone decent in the knockouts (assuming they get there).
Lauren James maybe just a bit young to provide that something special they need
 
Honestly, the only teams i'm really worried about are the USA and Japan.

England have dominated for large periods in both games this WC but are lacking the killer finish they had in the Euros.

Time for Russo to step up and show she's not a super sub anymore.

Sweden looked good when they thrashed Italy and France are excellent. And our likely next round opponents are no push overs in Nigeria who beat the hosts in the opening game.
 
I watched the first game i was rooting for haiti.I watched some of rhe second half against denmark? ,the football was awful and the commentry was painful so i turned it off.

USA haven't looked very good so far in this game v Portugal. In fact should Portugal score this half USA could go out.
 
Georgia Stanway and Chloe Kelly will inspire them to victory. Finish first and we play Nigeria in the next round. Second and it’s Australia !

Nigeria looked good against Australia. I would think that is the likely opponents. You would have to have an unlikely set of results to see England finish second.
 
What a goal from James. Unbelievable technique and opposite foot to her first goal which was almost as good. Looks a right player
