Liverpool v Everton.

One Everton fan last week on talk sport
Said he’d take a 3-0 defeat now

as they fear it could 5 , 6 or even 7.

They'll probably be relieved that the Burnley match is first.

If Burnley lose, there's far less pressure on them.

If Burnley get even a draw, Everton start the match in the relegation zone.

This headline says it all -

Liverpool v Everton is still a derby but cannot be considered a rivalry

For Evertonians, perhaps the most upsetting aspect of the past week has been the number of Liverpool fans and former players reflecting on what a shame it would be if they got relegated. “I would be sad and I’m sure there’s a lot of other Liverpool fans who’d feel the same,” Ian Rush said on Friday. Jürgen Klopp used his press conference to lament Everton’s plight, admitting he would miss the derby if they ended up in the Championship next season.

In a way, the outpouring of lament is its own sly little twist of the knife. Turns out Everton could bear Liverpool’s hatred. They could live with the taunting and the tribal banter. It’s the sympathy they can’t stand.

But as a measure of the yawning void between these two clubs before the 240th Merseyside derby, it is as good as any. Doubtless there are still a few Liverpool fans out there who would gleefully celebrate Everton’s relegation as a fifth trophy, just as Everton fans will enthusiastically cheer on Villarreal in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Depends if Wolves are motivated
I would expect Burnley to get something, and Everton to get tonked

Praying for a Burnley win. I can say it without grimacing now Dyche has gone. That would really crank up the pressure.

I don't see Everton winning many. Yet unfortunately I see Burnley winning even less.I think Everton will survive😒

Leeds have a difficult run in too, but should be safe

They're bound to be motivated, they're still in the running for European football.

In 8th, 5 points off 6th with two games in hand and even 7th grants them Conference League football.

Would make it more interesting if Wolves put a shift in - then Burnley will have earned anything they get, after the hardest thing they had to do the other night was negotiate their way round Southampton's deckchairs

Defo about the deckchairs

Unfortunately its that time of year that every league has plenty on the beach.

You'd think Cardiff should already be in the departure lounge😂. No doubt still make hardwork of it.

If it was Sunderland or Leeds (still possible? probably not) in the situation I'd be hoping they went down and laughing at them.
On social media after a recent Everton defeat a Liverpool fan made me smile when he said 'Keep going Frank mate , you're doing a great job - finish what Rafa started'

You seem very keen in Everton going down Erimus 😂.
I'm not too bothered either way - I'm not keen on Burnley. Leeds even less but they should be safe.
If Everton stay up I'd say well done Lampard, but if they go down I'll shed no tears
No time fo Everton TeessideCleveland at all
They've struggled for a number of years now, the likes of us, Norwich come & go yet they just do enough to sit in midtable, have had enough money now to have been a top 10 established team, while the media constantly harp on about them been big club, trophy history to & should remain a PL, no you earn the right to rmain a PL team, not on past history, which over time will be the case, the Burnleys, Brightons & Crystal Palaces of this world earn more repect from me than Everton will vere do, hopefully this season they're gone, even for just one season
