I'm actually starting to think that is was all all my fault now. I spend one Friday night without contributing to the booze and music thread and without my calming influence then all hell breaks loose on here. Just blame me for all of this lads and then kiss and make up with each other. That's not a suggestion by the way. It's an order.
 
Theres a lot of snide remarks about IB on this forum it's not so long ago that ingleby was criticised and brought into a thread about crime levels in hemlington for no reasonable reason by robn

Loftus, like the rest of East Cleveland, suffered from the loss of industry and massive increases in unemployment. This, combined with poor transport links and the building of some hideous estates in the 60/70s, meant the quality of the communities declined. In loftus and surrounding villages, there are some pretty major social issues that will take a long time to fix.
If some these villages were down south, they would be second home hotspots, you’d never be able to get into Skinningrove on a summer’s day if it was in Cornwall!
 
It’s a FMTTM thing to do to be honest, I’ve seen a lot of it in here. Teessiders love to bash other parts of Teesside, as if we don’t get enough of that from people outside the area.

My line of work takes me to other places.
I've spent years defending the area we live in from pig ignorant people who don't know better.

A number of times I've spoken out 'face-to-face' to idiots who mock Middlesbrough, Stockton, Teesside or the North East in general.

Then comes along @Johnny Vincents Motorbike and @BoroBukowski who think it's fine to mock an area where many Boro fans have made their home.

And don't be mistaken, their comments were full of bile. There's no winky emoji, no admission that the place they live may not actually be 'stellar'.

So I'll continue to defend our area and no amount of criticism such as 'hyper-sensitive', 'super precious snowflake', 'idiotic', 'lacking intelligence', 'imbecilic', 'head-case', 'head the ball' will detract me.

Let's face it there's enough in there to make a report myself but I won't because I'm not a fanny.

Think Loftus has just got a grant to revitalise the high street, similar to whats just happened in skelton.

The area around the market place has always been quite nice, rest just needs a lift, hopefully the grant works will do the trick.

Just need some similar funding for Brotton now for our high street.
 
Really nice place to live is IB been here 17 years now Never recognise the comments people make on here. Walk round the safe walking and cycling routes most nights. Lots of people out doing the same. 7 parks, leisure centre, swimming pool , golf course, 3 really nice restaurants, 4 great pubs, all schools good or outstanding, quiet road, good neighbours - strong communities in each of the Villages. I often feel the adverse comments are just jealousy as people tend to slag it off as Spam City! but don’t explain why where they live is so much better? I really don’t care too much where my fellow FMTTM’s live, just hope your as happy there as I am in IB.

I've lived in Ingleby for 11 years now and I wouldn't bring my kids up anywhere else. For all the reasons listed here and more. Plus most of the people of ingleby are like me and want a nice place to raise a family and treat the place with respect and respect each other.

I work in Primrose Hill and always glad to go home at the end of the day.

Another needless board squabble, name calling, why the need to have a go at someone, or where they live, not called for

Enjoy what you have & where you live, thats all that matters

I notice the comment that I'd feel more at home posting on a certain Boro forum frequented by racists had been removed.
