Kernel brewery is great
I think one of those with a flag is my local.I'm a very very very sad individual and keep a list (on google maps) of pubs/taprooms all over the country that are my favourites, and ones I want to visit next time I'm in the area. This is my London map
Find a wetherspoons and keep your wallet intact
apart from the match that's a great idea.Go one step further and stay in Middlesbrough, you wont need to pay London prices at all.

Ha first one he recommends is a spoons
Southwark Tavern is my favourite pub in London. It's nothing fancy but lovely beers, traditional pub and cellar bar. That's such a hard question to answer based on the scant information provided.
A west end pub crawl would probably be easiest, but then you're fighting it out with the tourists in just about every pub. However if you were to do it, then I'd stick to the more traditional pubs and do The Blue Posts, French House, Coach and Horses, Nellie Dean, The Lyric and The Toucan. It also has the advantage of not beeing to far from where you're saying.
You could also do the pubs round Borough high street and London Bridge (Market Porter, Southwark Tavern, Old Kings Head, Shipwrights Arms, The Rose (which does Parmos))
The Bermondsey Beer Mile is a good shout, although you'd need to travel a bit and it's the opposite end of the city to QPR.
Would you mind sharing this bud?I'm a very very very sad individual and keep a list (on google maps) of pubs/taprooms all over the country that are my favourites, and ones I want to visit next time I'm in the area. This is my London map
Bring your own club, take your spirits with you and you’ll have mixologist. Really good if it’s still thereGroup of us are going down there for the QPR game next week, staying in the South Bank area.
Any recommendations of where to go on the night?
Preferably somewhere that's casual with a bit of an atmosphere, don't mind music in bars but we're probably all passed the age point of wanting to be in nightclubs.

Last time I was in London was around Farringdon, think we ended up here. Really liked the placeExmouth Market and around would be my choice these days.
Yeah there's a Premier Inn hub around the corner too which is pretty handy. Some very decent restaurants in the vicinity (Middle Eastern one is our fave, forgot the name) and Mikeller, Cask etc for good beer.Last time I was in London was around Farringdon, think we ended up here. Something little different just back across the river at the end of the Strand
Depends how many of you there are - its tiny but fun
If all else fails The Lyceum Sam Smiths pub is just round the corner.

Still feels a little "under the radar" to out of towners, although I'm guessing me posting it on here won't radically change that
