Looking at the table

it looks as if those last few defeats haven't damaged us too much points wise. 2 pts and 1 place outside the playoff but having played a game more rather than one in hand.

Bournemouth losing three on the bounce has helped us a lot. 5th up are starting to cement their places.

When you think we lost 2 on the bounce without scoring we're still pretty well placed to continue in the vein for the duration

I expect will lose again when we think we will win a certain match but with NW in charge we'll be in the mix till the end, IMHO mind

We have to remember that we have a really good run in, the last 6 games are Barnsley, QPR, Rotherham, Sheff W, Luton, Wycombe. If we aren't in an injury crisis, I would think we would expect to be getting an absolute minimum of 12 points. Maybe more. We could quite easily catch up with teams like Reading (Who play Norwich, Swansea and Watford in the last 6), or Watford (who play Swansea, Brentford, Norwich and Reading in the last 6). We just need to be no more than 7 points behind these teams with 6 games left and we have a chance of steaming past them. It's the Warnock way

That’s the thing, I fancy us against teams higher up the table, have to consider those teams fighting at the bottom, have something to play for

But teams at the top have something to play for too? I think its a mindset personally wspecially at the Riverside.

And last seaon we had the first ever season in our history where we got more points away from home than at home and this season our Riverside record is falling apart somewhat. We have performed badly against mid table teams like Huddersfield Birmingham Stoke and Preston.

This season in the prem, over half the teams have more points from away games than home games.

Obvs Covid related, team at home feels obliged to take it to the away team and get picked off on the counter but don’t have the support of home fans cheering them on to give them that extra energy.

That’s my guess anyway.

Keep your half baked theories to yourself please...

Could possibly be related to the ref not being influenced as well?

If the home fans are giving him absolute pelters or a certain player has elicited a furious reaction I always think that would influence the officials a little.

I agree considering how dismal our form has been I think we’ve come through it largely unscathed as we are still within touching distance of the top6 and a good run of 2-3 games would see us back in it.

We are still in a lovely position. Imagine being offered this position right now the game after the Swansea defeat last season in which Woodgate lost his job. We would off all probably thought no chance and laughed. But the reality is we are here and with Warnocks know how I’m not going to back against us I’m gonna try and enjoy the ride. Would be great to get another attacker in before the deadline slams shut.

Good shout. The definitely will have something to do with it.
