Loudest away fans at Middlesbrough

Even at home derby are not very loud. An annoying drum and a carbon copy of the riverside. Foam hands and ram mascots.

Derby are a pointless team. I prefer the city ground.

I think it was a “hooligan book” that derby county were the worst firm and a chant of worse than derby county.

I don’t get it either.

Celtic had a very big following - 6000?

And it was only a friendly!

Ahem - it wasn’t that friendly
But, you are right - they were incredibly loud

Forest always seem louder than Derby, even when Derby were boasting about taking the town for a couple of seasons.

It was all a footy mob mentality thing - some Boro lads made a fuss down there back in the day when Derby had a bit of a reputation

Non league/lower league clubs with freak away crowds are there for the day out, they have no idea what to sing or chant.
That Barrow trip was once in a lifetime for them and they were great.

Everton do sing their only song (with one word) louder than other fans who change the word to that same tune.

Villa in recent times.

strangely they seemed to increase massively in number and volume when in the championship.
Back in the PL days, they tended not to take their full allocation.

I’ll never forget Boro singing Emerson while the Evertonians were singing Everton at Goodison. Emerson, looked up, puffed his chest out and ran through walls that day. Sure he thought the crowd were all singing for him.
Won 1-2 from being 1-0 down. Great day out.
Also showed that Barmby and Juninho could play in the same team. Great linking up.

Hednesford brought a few but weren’t loud.
The Hednedford game is the correct answer, as they were the home team. They tried to take the game to Wolves but didn't think the crowd would be good. I think there was about 27k there, 5k from Hednesford, so 22,000 away fans. So we are certainly the loudest away fans at the Riverside.
