Sadly his day in his spell with us was Blackburn away and that was it. Then he reverted to type. Spent much of the with us falling over.

Get Muzzy back as well, sticking them on a plate for him like that wonderful night at Ewood.
Loan deal is perfect as if we do get promoted he'll be first out the door. But I'm for it we need a target front man to knock the ball down and score crosses we whip in. As Britt, Akpom and Fletcher are kinda rubbish at heading finishes. If Norwich got Hugill to work we sure must be able to get a tune out the jukebox

A 6 month loan would make more sense. I can't see us paying 1mil if he's out of contact in the summer.
It's like Strachan paying 500k for Lee Miller when we could have got him for nothing 6 months later (still would have been a waste of 'money')

Agree, he has shown over the last few seasons he is far better now compared
to his previous stint here.

We are losing 2mil a month and no signs of any fans comjng back this season.
I see some of the names people think we should be signing
. Many are on 50k+ a week at prem clubs. You'd have to pay half that (at least). I would like to think in the current global situation people would be realistic.
It seriously wouldn't suprise me if we didn't sign anyone. It's not like anyone else is.
Juke on a loan would improve us or at least another option. He's a far better target man than the last spud we had.
That said paying 1mil for a guy who's 32 in the summer and 6 months left on his contract is definitely not good business sense. So defo a loan

I would not touch him. He doesn't score goal's so what's he gonna do set them up for others to score. We are woeful in scoring from other areas(Watmore apart). Would rather stick with Britt than him. Never forgave him for the one on ones he missed at Barnsley when we lost 3-2 having gone in at H.T 3-0 down. Ended up in Mowbray being sacked afterwards. One of the worst strikers ever to play for us. We must be desperate if we want him.

I remember the Barnsley match and the half time kick off by our fans. I agree with you the Jukes shocking first half misses in that game led to Mowbray’s demise.
Didnt Juke play 40 odd games up front for Burnley without scoring?

The first time Mowbray had any decent money he spent it on that spud.
I'd hate him coming back, even on loan.
I'd rather Gibson kept his money - he must be wincing at the moment given the massive pressure on finances.
In signing Akpom and Morsy for fees he has shown good backing already given he has seen an absolute collapse in revenues.
He has to accept responsibility for still carrying the burden of the Assombolonga, Fletcher, Saville type financial disasters, but this lack of any real revenue must be sickening for him.
I have been critical of his decision making and I really don't like him as a bloke (yes I have personally met him a fair bit), but by God I really do feel for him right now.

He's definitely not the worst forward we've ever had. He only cost 1.7mil (I think) and we got money back.
We've had 10 or more forwards since (including loans) who've been worse.
Christ we paid 2mil to loan Hugill
That probably means there has been no contact between us or the player. since he was last here.
