I thinks that’s absolutely right. We can’t have 3 left backs vying for a first team spot, when we’re short elsewhere (strikers)

But if Carrick doesn't rate one or both of our current permanent LBs, he might be looking to sell one (or both) and buy a replacement (or two)

Has he seen enough to know? If we based all recruitment decisions on new player’s first seasons, we would have historically rejected a lot of players who went on to do well.

I edit my posts if I put their instead of there and vice versa. I'd definitely do it if noticed I'd missed an apostrophe too!
I do agree in principle, but sometimes you have to be ruthless as a manager, personally I like Engel and think Bangura has great potential but I'll trust what Carrick decides to do.
