Just a quick post to advise all my fellow FMTTMers to ensure you remain fully vaccinated against COVID. I had it twice last year and have just been diagnosed with Lung Fibrosis.

Not looking for sympathy etc just trying to get across the myths that this us just a cold or flu. Please do all you can to protect yourself because I am in my mid 50s and feel 80+. Shortness of Breath and an annoying constant cough. Stay safe and stay vaccinated.

Completely agree, but the minimisers will be along soon to tell you to ‘get a grip’, ‘obsess over something else’ and ask ‘well what can we do?’

For the avoidance of doubt, those people are idiots.

Sorry to hear you have lung fibrosis Billy. Hope your treatment works well for you.

I knew someone who had the same condition caused by working in dusty environments throughout their life and caused really bad shortness of breath. What tests were carried out to diagnose COVID as the cause? I have a suppressed immune system so always get my COVID vaccines when offered but I do occasionally get shortness of breath.

Had COVID twice last year. Non smoker. Office based work had a CT scan after first episode due to having onset pneumonia after first bout. No signs had a full recovery. Second bout in November. Undertook spirometery tests after both bouts and CT scan again and diagnosed following the test results.

Had you refused vaccines before COVID?

Hope things improve fella.

Since the last (2nd) Covid infection I have an annoying need to clear my throat (that is to to me so god alone knows what other people think)

My chest recovered and I feel I have no massive shortness of breath - thought after heavy exertion I do feel a bit more breathless - but at 63 maybe that is just overdoing it a bit?

My father in law died of pulmonary embolism triggered by covid . The vaccines weren’t available at the time he caught it . So he had a blood clot from covid , despite anti vaxxers claiming it’s the vaccine that causes clots. My wife was robbed of her dad and he died age 58

Any anti vaxxer out there can seriously **** off .

I`ve had similar symptoms for a while.
My GP Sent me to the Hospital for a chest xray.
Still awaiting the results.
Fingers crossed.

Hope you get better by the way(y)

Yes, I had a lot of symptoms consistent with the stuff the anti vaxxers were putting about. Heart palpitations, throbbing veins, high blood pressure. Thing is it was before I had been vaccinated. The numpties are obviously getting asymptomatic COVID and putting the side effects down to the vaccine.

Hope you're feeling and are better now.

But yup, it's been long proven that actual covid (and now also long covid) causes way more problems than any covid vaccine (including the AZ vaccine), and it's not like anyone reasonably had the "don't get covid option", so having covid has to be the comparator.

All that daft crap about people trying to highlight the 1 in a 1,000,000 risk of the vaccinated having heart issues or whatever, and not showing that having covid when unvaccinated multiplied that risk by 10,000 or whatever, mental.

Also ignoring that vaccination isn't 100% protection and it can wane. Idiots were completely ignorant that people can still have covid cause the vaccinated major problems, and just because they're vaccinated it doesn't mean the vaccination caused those problems, not by a long shot.
