Luton is the key game now........

They've so many injuries and can barely field a 1st XI. Their own manager said he doesn't know who he can field this Saturday. I kinda hope both them and Sheff U don't screw up as we could end up 5th and playing Huddersfield.
I’d rather play Forest in the playoffs than Huddersfield imo, they wiped the floor with us

I'd agree if it wasn't Reading. You'd pretty much pick that match if you could hand pick an none relegated opponent.

I'm pretty sure Jones will have 'rested' some of these injuries last night with one eye on sat. I imagine if last night had been a must win a few more may have featured. So I think a few will be back on Saturday.

Fulham where that good last night. I would say even at 75% they could beat or draw with sheff UTD. They take some beating. I doubt they will be on the beach. Just think they may 'rest' a few and give a few fringe a game (although the bench they have it's still a decent side).

Rest players ? They don’t have another game for months 😆

I think Preston vs Boro is the key game. If we win that, I'll not be too disappointed no matter what else happens.

I think I'd rather play Bournemouth of the possible opponents. I don't rate them that highly, and Forest have been a significantly better side than Bournemouth in the second half of the season. It all depends on tonight of course, but I'll back Forest to get the result.

Bournemouth’s form has picked up in the time they played us. Beat Coventry away 3-0, drew with Fulham, came back from 3-0 down at Swansea, beat Blackburn away 3-0 - it’s a terrible ground to get to and probably midweek too. If we get into the playoffs Bournemouth is not the team I’d like to face.

However you measure form (last 6, last 10, from game 24 onward) Forest are performing better.

But I don't think it's a matter of form. Under Cooper, I think they are the better side. Coming back from 3-0 down is impressive in itself, but requires you to go 3-0 down in the first place. I am well aware could get egg on my face tonight over this.

I accept the point about getting to Bournemouth, but I didn't anticipate getting tickets...

There's a little part of me that wishes we had screwed up against Stoke as I'm not sure I can take a bl00dy week of this.

I'm on Luton forums seeing what their fans think, talking to Sheff U mates who have already accepted they are missing out and blaming Reading (they turn us over but will get hammered by Luton seems to be the phrase they are all using), scouring papers to see if I can see Fulham players still on the lash, praying to the god like figure that is The Guv'nor to do us a favour. I've even convinced myself that by putting Ince in his best ever Man Utd team last night even Roy Keane has done is a favour as he will have a little spring in his step and of course I have had the obligatory tenner double on Luton and United and that is all before I dare to think about our game!!!

I need it to be 2:00pm Saturday so I can get back to my normal life

its gonna be a fun week hahaha, lots of different opinions flying about but its good to see the board with football threads.

We beat Norwich home and away the season they beat us in the playoff final. Previous results are almost meaningless. If anything, I think that made us too complacent.

I think Forest are better than Bournemouth but sometimes playing styles clash. Maybe Forest just suit the way we play. Helps that one of their best players can't play against us as well.

Fulham are an odd team. They've lost more than Bournemouth this season so they are definitely beatable. It was only wasteful finishing that we didn't get something from them. They tend to either steamroller teams or lose. They have nothing left to play for. They've already won the league, broken the 100 goals barrier, Mitrovic has his top scorer of all time (ignoring all time) record. Will they play with a bit of freedom and enjoy themselves and give Sheff Utd a hiding or will they have their feet up and not care? It's the sort of match where a 4-0 for each team wouldn't be a surprise.

Just thump Preston on saturday.
If we do then we are on pretty good form ourselves I'd say.
BoroMart's top team mini-league shows we have little to be afraid of if we make the play offs.

We've done Forest home and away.
We've had the better of Bournemouth this season.
Beat Huddersfield at least as well as they won at our place.
Sheff U have been dealt with at The Riverside.
Luton we've traded wins with and well, if we can't beat them...

If we make the play offs I reckon we have every chance of winning them.

At 2.00pm there will still be about 20 mins + stoppage time of second half to go, so still no peace until later! 🤔
We'll all be seeing who's got internet access in the ground to get score updates. Might dig out my old transistor radio with earpiece like the old days.

Get it pinned on the away teams wall as they prepare to walk out on to the pitch (y)
