Apparently we're gutted that they're "happy" about us getting to the semis, because we want them to hate us.

I just wish they could acknowledge that we exist for once :(

Smogs who I work with gloating about this fixture. Which is bizarre considering I want them to progress through this round and win the cup. They think we hate them :lol:

It’s amazing how united they are with their “arch rivals” Newcastle on this issue.

Anyone would think the real rivalry was between Tyne & Wear and Teesside. 😁😁
 
I’ve no doubt there will be some decent mackems posting on there but that RTG forum does not reflect well on Sunderland, every time I look at it I feel unclean, it’s like coming into contact with the dregs of society.
 
Who honestly gives a damn about them, what they have to say or what they think?

They are as irrelevant to us as we are to them, big club in there own little deluded mind
 
I don't mind the ones who genuinely don't mind us, fair play. Some of them actually don't. You know, the ones who will freely admit we were hard done to in a game where we lost a tight game because of a dodgy decision or whatever.

As for the ones who dish out the grief when we do $hit, but curse us doing well, I wouldn't say I liked them, but at least they're consistent and have nailed their colours to a mast.

It's more the ones that spit bile and taunts all day long that suddenly pretend not to be bothered at all when we do well that will forever have themselves jotted down in my Lexicon of Di(kheads.
 
Good and bad at all clubs

There`ll be a couple of Barrow fans who also dislike us no doubt

I don`t mind the mackams, only ever met 2 in my 51 years so they can`t get out much

I`d prefer a better life for us North Easterners so it`s hard to hate another human being just on football alone
 
The ones I've met through work over the years have been sound, good banter and a similar gallows humour to us.
However I've come across some horrible specimens on away trains over the years. Particularly on the return when they are full of Dutch courage and quick with the ignorant obscene jibes.

TBF i'd not met a Sunderland fan until a few years ago and had to work up there for a few months
 
I've never once gone on a message board/social media etc and proclaimed the fact that I really, really, really don't care about Walsall and their fans and that they are irrelevant to me. That would be incredibly strange behaviour.

Where as the " We don't care about burra" "they are just another random team" "I hate Coventry more" rhetoric gets spouted ad nauseum from the Mackems. Me thinks the lady doth protest too much.

It's like they feel if they admit that they don't like us a bit, it makes them less of a true Mackem as all their Football vitriol needs to be saved 100% for the Geordies.
 
well all the mackems at work, and there is loads of them dont pretend to not care. they act like normal people though. probably because they have been normalised after leaving blunderland to work.
 
Ah, so there's yet ANOTHER thread on their board about Boro, a club they don't care about?. That makes it about 27 threads on their forums about Boro this season then. The last one had nearly 7,000 posts and 250,000 views.

But they don't care about us (apparently). :ROFLMAO:
