Very insightful and heartfelt listen.

A lot of stuff boro fans might be surprised to hear about his time here, only played 2 games for us where he “felt right”.

He married a Boro lass, nice to hear he settled in the area.

I will absolutely buy his book, comes across as a really nice guy who knew from minute one how lucky he was to be a footballer (and how unlucky he became)

One of those games was my lad’s first Boro match. Lovely near post equaliser from Christie vs Charlton.

I've been reading his book this week. A decent read and very enlightening with regards to how footballers can be remunerated handsomely yet not taken care of as people.

You just presume that confidence and a necessary arrogance will flow from someone walking out in front of big crowds, but he seems like an introverted person who took a while to really feel comfortable in a football dressing room before ridiculously poor luck with injuries.

The way he describes his treatment after the first leg break is unbelievable. Imagine an airline spending a couple of million pounds on an aircraft and just playing it by ear after an engine fell off.
