Man City vs Arsenal

And some people still insist that if Pep was England manager he’d play all out attacking football and England would win every tournament 🤣

I see possession football as, first and foremost, defensive football: the opposition can't score if we've got the ball, right?

In fairness to PG, he's been critical of the approach used, for example, by the Spanish national team: he's openly said that possession for possession's sake is not his philosophy. That said, I think he's relied on exceptional players such as Messi and de Bruyne to unlock the best defences, but he's been quite open about saying he doesn't think his approach works with lesser players.

Absolute dirge. Like peak Pulisball with four centre halves strung across the back-line looking to hit the big man. It was an absolutely awful spectacle. Manchester City have been terrible to watch for at least two years.

Think the importance of the game both teams didn’t want to lose it by trying to win it. Made for dull viewing.

I know I am going to be alone in this but I enjoyed it. I traded the correct score assuming under 2.5 goals it was a very unstressful watch.
