Marcus Forss.

I miss him. Think he's a great player, although a little selfish at times. Hope he can come good at the Boro and enjoy a decent career here instead of being constantly sidelined.

He wasn't getting in the side before he got injured, so I'd imagine it will be tough for him to win his place once he's fit, unless he gets lucky and Jones gets injured or loses form.

I think Carrick prefers Lath and Coburn to him as strikers, and I'd imagine we'll have brought in another striker by the time he returns from injury.
 
A lot of his success last season on the right came from the space Akpom would create by dragging defenders towards him, im not sure he’d look quite as effective with our current set up.

He does give us good cover though, Jones is usually shattered after 65/70 mins and being able to bring him off earlier should help keep him fit.

Same as an option upfront, let Lath wear out the defenders and bring Forss on with fresh legs, he’s more clinical than both Coburn and Lath but doesn’t possess Laths pace or Coburns ability to hold the ball.
 
Forss is a totally different player to Jones and gives the team options. I love Izzy but at times his final ball is lacking. Forss is an inside forward from the right and gives the opposition something different to think about. We need him back sooner rather than later.
 
Forss got us ten goals last season.
Give Michael The Magician time to bring him back, and steer him into the newly refreshed team in January, and we'll see a revitalised Forss.
Carrick is a long way from finishing, fashioning and moulding the lad.
 
Think he could also potentially play on the left, look to cut inside and get shots off. Mind you've also got McGree who is probably our best in that position.

If everyone is fit the competition for attacking midfield places is ridiculous.

Good options to have Jones could swith wings and play from the left or play RB or we could revert to 3 at times and play Jones RWB with forss up top in 2, lots of options within the squad to switch things up if Carrick chooses
 
I’d play Forss up front but either way he gets straight back into the team for me, maybe even try him on the left in McGrees absence.
