Massimo Luongo

Scott did annoy me last week when he sat there and defended the good work taking place in the recuritment department
To be fair there were an enourmous amount of deals done in the summer, n and out probably the busiest I've seen for us.

It's impossible to say if Hoppe or Forss will come good but they both have the kind of pedigree we want at a good price. Steffen looks decent, Lenihan had a good track record at this level, and Giles too. On paper there were some good deals there, but there were some gaps too.

Pure speculation of course, but you do have to wonder if there’s more to the Ameobi situation than meets the eye.

As said, it’ll likely come out one day.
Career plagued with injuries.. the NML thing makes people suspicious.. NML was fired and he’d had previous. Sam Morsy injured a few lad in training didn’t he?

Forss did good at Brentford.. Hoppe was in Bundasliga and then La Liga.. some blag at 21 to be playing games at that level!

Perhaps an admission of wasted wages, money down the toilet, amateurish transfer business instead of smarmy Scott coming out and saying oh great we’ve now got someone who wants to be here … teflon twàt takes no responsibility himself for our position of course.
It was a short term contract clearly wit the view of assessing he could offer anything. No big deal

It won't because there's nothing interesting to say I don't expect

Ameobi left in the summer. Great lad, met him first time he was here. Awful for him that he was injured while he was here. Weird that some people on here think it's a personal tragedy for them as well. Every single club has players who don't play because of injuries. When you're scouring the basement for bargains it's likely to happen more than for clubs who get to pick the cream.

Depends what he comes up with in January..

If 3 managers have not selected him he's either injured or not considered good enough/fit enough
Would be surprised if his contract is extended

Exactly, signings like Ameobi and Luongo are a bit of a gamble. some pay off most don't. We are no different from most clubs in that respect.

Craig Johns asked about him in the press conference today, Carrick basically confirmed what I thought, he's just not getting picked for the squad rather than there being anything particularly wrong with him.

Building up fitness etc.
