He's been a brilliant signing. For every Assombalonga can Boro have a Crooks please?

We could have got 20 Crooks' (and a Whatmore with with change) for the money we paid Forest for Britt.

What about his first half performance and sublime assist? It’s easier to be negative than it is positive. Awesome player for the Boro.

He's surprised me in how good a footballer he is - he really looks after the ball and his first touch is excellent.

Our recruitment is often criticised, but this signing has been perfect.

To be fair he impressed me at the back end of last season for Rotherham (bar the sending off against us).

They were on TV every week as catching up games due to covid. I watched most for Wing but he always stood out. Actually missed a few decent chances that could have kept them up. Yet always looked a good player (as did that Smith we were linked with).

Also put a great ball through to Sporar last week. Has certainly surprised me with his footballing ability.

True, but I was more thinking of the impact for the financial outlay the club made. Assombalonga was a total disaster given the money involved. If the deal was £5 million it wouldn't have been so bad.

Crooks at less than a million is really adding value.
