Saw Max Metcaalfe (on loan from Boro) play for Spennymoor at Thornaby last night and he stood out as a real unit of a body for such a young lad. Sadly his command of box and catching crosses was not great, flapped at a few as Thornaby were only denied a win by a last minute equalizer in 2-2 draw
Not sure how Spennymoor contrived to miss so many chances though with Thornaby's keeper, Wilkinson, outstanding.
