Will be interesting to see how he goes, I think he could really do well if introduced gradually.. rather than just thrown in.
Had hoped we might go for him.

Choudhury looks a far better signing.

Another hype believer eh. I suppose you thought Balogun would have the Champo on toast as well. But this is a 46-game slog, not Football Manager. Experience counts.
I think if McAtee is given some EFL games, then some sub time & introduced gradually into the Championship he could really be a quality addition, he certainly seems to have excellent vision & an eye fo goal - even if at a lower level so far. His technique looks excellent & way above his years.Another hype believer eh. I suppose you thought Balogun would have the Champo on toast as well. But this is a 46-game slog, not Football Manager. People suggesting him over a bloke with 50 PL games and 10 in the Europa. Madness.Loads of different posters mentioning McAtee - He's played 40 minutes of professional league football.
If the exact same player was at Fulham instead of Man City you wouldn't even know his name.
Didn't know who he was. I had to Google.
I'm not sure why we've 'missed out?'
We've been burned so many times with these 'amazing' U23s. U23 football (prem league 2) is pretty woeful stuff. I've watched a few bits and you can honestly watch 5 mins and not see a tackle.
It's a long way from Jake Cooper or Shaun Morrison clattering into you
I remember going to Sheff Wed away last game of the season a few years ago... Christian Burgess was our CB against a 34 year old Steve Howard up front for Wednesday.
It was Burgess's professional debut... He posted a picture of his shins/ankles on twitter after the match.... If you can find the tweet, that's why u23 players struggle to make it in the championship.
