MFC Site declining Credit Card for Season Card Payment

I've bought tickets for 3 different games over the last few days and all gone though first time.

So it's a bit strange and clearly random.

I've got a santander debit card that's changed from Visa to Mastercard in the last year. I wonder if its 'fine' with mastercard? Is everyone using Visa or a mixture? Just wondering if its a Visa snag?
 
What happens with with priority points? Should they got on your total this season or will it be Refreshed at the start of the new season with your 70/75 points etc
 
Banks are implementing more fraud checks now. After the Monday deadline they are increasing the percentage. So there will be more rejections over time than there were for Spurs for instance.
But you should be able to get through on the phone next week as there won't be a cup quarter final to sell for against the clock.
I have been told that work is well under way solving the problems at the ticketing site. It has been a very frustrating week. But things should calm down after the weekend.

Priority points are on a 2 year cycle - it won't go back to zero but it will reset at the start of the season - it will have to count that last full season before covid, rather than the covid seasons.

I tried a Santander debit card and a different Mastercard without success! So don't think there's necessarily any rules with regards to which types of card will 100% work.

May be useful for us all going forward if those who are successful state which Bank card they used? Then if we get to a high demand situation again like Chelsea we may have a chance of not scrambling around for all cards in the family.

CapitalOne Mastercard (credit). Been saved to my account for ages. No problems with payment on the Season Card or the Peterborough ticket (or the ticket for Hull, but I'm not sure if that was before or after the system changes).
 
Same for me. I’ve bought away tickets and Chelsea tickets no problem, but declined today on SC renewal. It’s a poor do really.

Edit: Just tried the trick of adding a card to your account and it worked this time.
 
My card, which I used for the Chelsea ticket, was rejected 3 times. I then added it to my account and it worked.....
 
It's not just MFC. My wife wanted to order online from Dunelm and the card we have used multiple times with them was declined; same card as above.
