Morgan Rogers

Exactly.. it's total rubbish when people say that players should stay in the Championship to help with their development at 21 and 22 year old. People saying the same about Hackney. If they are good enough they will get chances in a Premier League squad. Along with training with better quality players daily.
The point is that players need to play competitive matches to truly show whether they are capable of playing at the top level but not playing competitive football (i.e. U23s, ressies whatever its called) can stymie development. So a player who might otherwise be a very good player in the second tier would struggle to get pitch time in the PL. It's a gamble, a judgement call and it looks like Emery got this one right.

Just watched MOTD and saw Tav score a thunderfukka, another player who has made the step up. But not every player does.

Good to see Rogers score in the Premier League- probably more cash for the Boro, we will need it in the Summer.

Is he doing ok? I’d not read anything about him lately, I always liked Spence as a player he could make things happen.

Taken off at half time in the last match after making a mistake for the opposition's goal.
Spent most of February and March on the bench.

Oh well there you go, my point about him and Roger’s is that I hope Rogers gets a better chance at Villa than Spence did at Spurs after a similar hyped up transfer.

To be honest he didn't look effective enough for us at the start of the season. I remember the opening game against Millwall and we didn't look like scoring as a team. It seemed to click for him in the League Cup, but that was against League 1 and 2 sides, then in the Championship in December.

Week by week it's looking like they underpaid and have a bargain. That's a great spot by them.

Although when all said and done we paid around 1.5mil.based on an average season at Blackpool. So that's 'spot on' by our recruitment team.

It was a deal we couldn't turn down. Also frankly couldn't stop Rogers moving. He didn't look for a move and we didn't actively try to sell. It's just one of those things. Although I think city recieved around 20-25%.

I guess the better he does is a benifit for us in terms of add ons. Hopefully we've also added a sell on percentage. He's not remotely looking out of his depth in a very good villa side.
