MOTM Jed Spence

We did play a flat back four tonight didn't we?
If so, Jed had a reduced 'workload' than when he plays wing-back?
If those observations are correct them shouldn't Jed be creating more given his offensive positioning?

Howson was Johnny on the spot and my MOM, ahead of McNair. I thought Spence was ok but unspectacular.
 
Ca ching. At least it might put his price up of Premier scouts think the same. He was ok but Dijksteel and. Howson were better than him
 
Probably going to offend a few people here but I just don't see it with Spence personally, and for sky to give him MOTM is just comical.

I counted 8 times he lost the ball in the first half alone. His end product is appaling. Nothing to his game apart from a bit of pace and he's clumsy on the ball.

With his build and height he reminds me of a centre back whos having a go forward.

We're doing great at the moment and I absolutely love Warnock, but a front 3 of Britt, Coulson and Spence is just plain poor. Britt needs dropping.
 
I just don't rate Spence currently.

Poor at crossing and fairly poor on the ball, he loses it most times he gets it.

Still young, still plenty of time to improve.
But I really wouldn't mind selling for a decent fee.
 
Tav was our best player last night, IMO. He's starting to look a very good midfielder. Howson was fantastic too, and I'd give the bronze to McNair.

I agree with some posters above. Spence was poor
