The reward didn’t outweigh the risk here, it wasn’t the time to almost certainly give away the possession away, hopefully he will learn from this.

Definitely. He was excellent tonight. Just a shame we couldn't get the point. But I'm very optimistic that we finally have a proper striker on our hands.

Looked physically up to the task and is a massive plus point for this team. Can't blame him for going for that audacious effort.
Game was lost in the end with poor defending when it counted most. Really need to sure up that defense, ideally with someone who can sit in front of the defense and mop up when the defenders make mistakes.

Encouraging performance from him but it was a poor decision on his part to shoot from the half-way line under those circumstances, and it cost us.
99% of the time those kind of things don't come off, and I'm sure there was another Boro player to the right of him who he could have passed to.
Against Swansea I was frustrated with him for attempting to hold the ball up in the corner when we won a corner early into the 8 minutes of stoppage time, and Swansea won it off him and broke. Last night, in that situation you want him to be sensible and hold the ball or look for a team-mate at least and he tries to go for the spectacular and we lose the ball. It's like one extreme to the other.
