Muniz

Has Carrick been asked about Muniz recently? Obviously we have the 5 loan situation and I could sort of understand Muniz being the one to miss out when Ramsey and Archer came in. My expectation was that Mowatt would gradually get more game time as he (and Barlaser) rotated with Howson & Hackney.

As it stands neither Mowatt or Barlaser are getting any minutes, with McGree moving into central midfield to replace Hackney against Burnley. Unless Carrick really doesn't trust Barlaser yet, I can't see any reason why Mowatt is on the bench. If we need a goal in a big game, I would have thought that the extra striker option would be beneficial.

We would still have 4 options for CM in the match day squad (Howson, Hackney, Barlaser and McGree) Actually 5 if you count Crooks.

A bench of McNair, Bola/Dijksteel, Barlaser, Crooks, Forss and Muniz just feels more powerful.

I'm assuming Muniz is fit, so perhaps contractual? If it is a money thing, I wonder as the Premier League cash comes in to view, that Muniz starts to become available again?

He has been and he just says the same old ***** about it being a competitive squad and those outside the squad are unlucky.
Had 2 fullbacks and 2 central midfielders on the bench that don't even get close to the pitch and he will leave out potential game changers like big Rod and Jones.
They must really stink the place out at training to never even be considered for the bench.

He posted a story on Instagram yesterday and he was at the club's gym by the looks of it, clearly didn't travel with the club.

Saw him walking through the concourse at half time on Friday, was surprised by his height, thought he was a lot taller.

Some good points, and it would have made sense to have put him on the bench, especially when Archer is not 100% fit, hence why Crooks started yesterday.
Its Barlaser I cannot work out, he was Carrick's choice to buy in January, and our midfield in the last three games has looked a little tired/jaded, yet Barlaser still cannot start or come on as a sub to freshen things up, very strange.

Muniz isn't and wasn't needed. He's this season's (I've forgotten his name already, the French guy from last season who hardly ever played and ended up costing us a hefty loan fee and wages). Hopefully we don't have a similar loan player next season. Big drain on resources.
