Leo. Started 3 out of 5, scoring 0. Dropped in Leo's 4th game with Akpom playing centre forward
Carrick, started 1 out of 32. Started in Carrick's first match, subbed after 70 minutes for Forss and never started again. Came off the bench 5 times for a total of 60 minutes. His exile under Carrick was immediate and brutal. On one hand, you can't argue with the results, at least until towards the end, on the other hand you wonder why Carrick didn't try to make more of him.

The same reason Carrick rejected Kiefer Moore, he’s incredibly stubborn and unwilling to adapt through choice.

Or he just has a system that certain players can play. There’s no point “adapting” every time a player becomes available. We know how we want to play and it’s a long term plan, so we stick to it. It’s about a philosophy and I’d much rather we work towards that philosophy than be reactionary to what players are available each window.

He's still only 22.

How old was he here? 20? So same age or younger than many of our youth team players. New country, new culture etc.

Its quite possible (likely even) he just simply wasn't ready while he was here.

Season and a half at that age, particularly while trying to settle into a new country, is a long time.

I thought he started well and looked good. Then the manager changed and he didn't really get a look in after that, so in reality we saw very little of him on the field. He was professional though despite not getting a look in and always seemed to be supporting others in the team.

He's still very young and can improve. One that got away really, thanks to Warnock's dithering.

Probably just took him a while to adapt to the English game. Not like the players Carrick picked instead were struggling.

Would have loved to have him this season!
