Nathan Wood

I personally think he has a big future in the game myself. I must have missed Him getting talked up just seen the comment he might go out on loan

A big future in the game. Its easy to forget he's only 18 as he's been around a couple of seasons.

I sometimes think he's the same age as Tav or Fry. He's definitely turned into a 'unit' in the last 18 months.

I think he will get loaned out. Warnock said he could do with a loan signing who can play fullback and CB so sounds like that's what we're looking at.

I think it's important where he goes. He doesn't want to go to a league 1 or 2 side that's cannon fodder or won't play. I would imagine it will do him a world of good if he can have 10-15 starts and maybe a playoff run.

It can go the other way. Bola didn't get a kick at Blackpool. Then again with wood being 18 it will be good 'life experience'.

He's 18, and is behind McNair, Fry and Hall, that isn't a reflection on him as an 18 year old. He'll make it, but it'll be another 2 years before he's a regular

He is better than Hall
potentially, he hasn't proven he is better yet. Hall is an experienced pro and leader and we saw last year what a team without leaders on and off the pitch looks like. Never under-estimate character, experience and footballing intellect.

I'll probably get shot down but I don't rate Paddy McNair as much as everyone else in the media, on the management team and amongst Boro fans and I hate the way he wins free kicks by dropping to the floor like a fanny when he feels the breath of an opponent on his neck.

At the start of the season I world have said we need to replace Dael Fry but he's proved me wrong with some great performances.

It would be great to recreate another Boam/Madden, Pallister/Mowbray homegrown pairing with Wood and Fry.

Hall is poor I stand by what I have seen

I don't think he would look so good against premier league strikers. Lacks a bit of physicality for me

In the short time he's played he has not shown any of those qualities. Bang average so far. At fault for goals on most games he's played and missed a few he should have put away at the other end.
