Need a Builder - Opinions

Long story...

Moved home a few years ago.

Found loads of issues that the survey hadn't picked up (they made excuses about access).

Main issues was lots of mould.

We had planned a redesign of the property later on but because of the issues decided to bring it forward.
Problem was it was over Christmas and our options were limited.
My OH basically got taken in by one of the removal blokes who told us they knew someone who could do the job quickly.
I had my doubts but went along with it as we had no other option it seemed.

Anyway, they were a bunch of cowboys and made a complete mess.

We've put up with it for a few years but want the job doing again properly. No rush this time. It's about getting it done right.

We need a new bathroom putting in, which will include a redesign that will change the size of the bathroom and change the location of the guest toilet.

My knowledge of such things are limited so need opinions of best people/company to hire.
We will need builders and plumbers.
Is it the case we can get all we need via one company?

Unless you want to be a Project Manager I would recommend engaging a single company who either carries all the trades needed or who can use specialst sub-contractors for the things it cannot do.

The alternative is that you engage individual trades direct e.g. groundwork, brickies, electricians, plumbers, joiners, roofers, plasterers etc. etc.

That's a heck of a task, particularly if you're working yourself.
