I did like Caroline Aherne, but she was a very troubled individual. Her and Hooky was always going to be volatile, to be fair.

Oh I will definitely watch it, but i've read enough articles and heard firsthand from people on the standup circuit at the same time as her how troubled she was.

You were right. Watched it tonight and had a few tears. She died the age I am now 52, makes you think about life a bit. One very talented person.
If you're referring to Hooky he is a pretty horrible person. Having read his autobiography he comes across as a right loser. I'm amazed the rest of New Order put up with him for as long as they did.
Their marriage always sounded troubled. I wouldn't like to guess what all went on.

I was referring to Hooky yes, seeing as I said Hooky in my post.
I've read both of Hooky's autobiographies so I know very well what he's like, their relationship was never going to work and yes, he did cheat on her a fair bit. Still doesn't excuse domestic violence, though.

His autobiography is a very strange one. No one comes out of it in great light, including himself.
To me it seems he has used it as method to get a lot of things off his chest and he absolutely pulls Caroline Ahern to pieces, not only by her (supposedly) being physically abusive but about her being very sexually active with married men and describing her exploits to him in full detail. I do know Carolines’ family and Ricky Tomlinson have refuted the claims in his book, so not sure if Hook has maybe over glorified it to help sell a few copies...its probably one of these things that no one will ever know what the full truth was.

Caroline Ahern was an extraordinary talent she was! A lot of comedians owe their living to her acts, her style and her jokes.
A genuine comedy heavyweight who clearly struggled with the fame aspect of her career.
