Really hope they sink the landing on this, it's something a lot of older fans have been clamouring for for years.

So many clubs have messed up the redesign recently, so it's not a guarantee.

At least they have 2 years to get it right.

I hope to god we learn from some of the mistakes other clubs have done when changing the badge.

Most notably Leeds and their fist crest!

As such, supporters will be involved thoroughly and extensively in this process. That will be accompanied with a robust tendering procedure to invite contributions from external design experts.”

Get the tenders in then put it to a vote, surely the simplest way.

The sensible thing would be to consult with fans to draw up a shortlist then put it to a vote.

But this is MFC of course so Gibson will probably just get a family member to doodle something on the back of a fag packet again.

I feel like they'd have to make it so something like only those who have MFC accounts could vote, as you could quite easily get a bunch of randomers from around the globe jumping in and disrupting it if you just made it an anonymous public vote advertised on social media.

Especially with the the way Twitter etc has gone now.
