Last New Music of the year from me(probably). Not decided whether to keep it going next year but I have said that before. Hopefully some still find it useful to browse through.
and give pointers to things they have not heard.
Don't think 2023 has been a classic year for music but still some good new bands I have picked up on from mine and others posts.

Nice start to the proceedings..............GLITTERER – “JUST A PLACE”

MEAN JEANS – “I DON’T GIVE A **** ANYMORE”

HORSEGIRL X LIFEGUARD – “I WANNA BE ADORED” (STONE ROSES COVER, LIVE).................two bands I have really enjoyed this year come together to cover the S.R's and pretty fine it is too.

HARP (EX-MIDLAKE) – “CHRYSTALS”.............................their album has been getting great reviews.

LACK OF AFRO – “GO FREE”.......................sounds like a theme to a 70s TV show,

ARONE DYER X S T A R G A Z E – “SUGAR FRIEND” ....................................this is interesting.

PAULA COLE – “THE REPLACEMENTS & DINOSAUR JR”................................interesting title, interesting song.

KIRIN J CALLINAN – “CRAZIER IDEA”

Brooklyn Vegan says: Kirin J Callinan’s new single feels sonically straight out of 1985, somewhere between Prefab Sprout and Trevor Horn......................I will agree with that.

WISHY – “SPINNING”

FOOTBALLHEAD – “TIGHTROPE”.....................new band to me and I like this a lot.

YOUNG JESUS – “THE WEASEL”.............................a grower.......................Young Jesus have shared a new song made with producer Shahzad Ismaily for FX’s Murder At The End of The World.

CAT POWER AND IGGY POP – “WORKING CLASS HERO” (MARIANNE FAITHFULL COVER)...............................this is really really good. Not sure why Brooklyn Vegan think its a Marianne Faithfull cover but it is from a tribute album for her.
