NFL week 8

Howell tearing the eagles up again this week. How can a team be so bad against the giants and then turn up like this? Eagles secondary just letting the commanders wr get open.

New York shouldn’t be allowed football teams , first half of the Giants-Jets game had 15 punts.
1) Giants & Jets are both in New Jersey, Bills are in New York.
2) There was some excellent punting, Jets were putting the Giants inside the 5 & lead to decent field position from which they scored.
3) Giants are on their 3rd QB & Jets on their 3rd Center.

Well I was referring to the fact that they are both called New York rather than an analysis of their geographical locations.

15 punts was the most punts in a first half since 2000.

Hope the Giants win, just scored a good TD.

Dolphins really putting up a good show on both sides of the ball. Cowboys absolutely making the Rams look stupid, it’ll be interesting if McVey lasts another week after this massacre. Neck and neck Eagles and the old skins.

Will Levis with 3 TD’s to D Hop today.

Impressive debut.

Edit: now thrown 4 TD’s

Frustratingly the Giants defeat of Washington has got the team into win mode & all talks of trading away expensive & underperforming pieces to acquire draft picks appear to have been shelved.

If we beat the Jets (will there be a TD scored by an offense in this game?) the tank is off, no way the Panthers will win 4 more games than us between now & the end of the season, and the stupid and futile hunt for a wild card spot begins.
With the Giants defeat & the Panthers win, they are only a game back now, trade deadline coming up is going to be interesting.

I'm expecting to see Jackson out the door due to cap space headaches and a QB & Kicker coming the other way due to injuries.

Depending upon sentiment in the front office 1 maybe both of the other 2 (excluding Daniel Jones) to be out for 2024 draft picks.

Williams just got traded to Seattle, for a second rounder next year and a fifth in 25.
Thanks I hadn't spotted that.

Wow, happening sooner than I thought.

Just checked & the report says the Giants converted the rest of this season's salary to a "signing bonus" so he just got a $8.6m paycheck & the Seahawks are paying him the league minimum $50k a game. So no cap space has been created, this trade was purely about getting a 2nd next year and not about reducing cap space.

So Adoree Jackson will have to go (maybe get a 5th) to create cap space to sign players to cover the injuries and then it depends upon how deep they want to go into the roster for 5th+ picks, Barkley, McKinney, Campbell and maybe Glowinski could go.
