NHS Bonus

Good call.

Will she doing the same for other key workers who have continued to work in extreme conditions throughout?

Implying that this was a test of Johnson’s compassion, she said: “We are asking nothing of the UK government – with this one exception. Please allow our health and care heroes to keep every penny of Scotland’s thank-you to them. Do not take any of it away in tax.”
Scottish government officials said the pledge would cost about £180m and would cover 391,000 full-time and part-time NHS and social care staff, including students who volunteered to help during lockdown, GP surgery staff and palliative care workers, as well as their employers’ share of staff national insurance contributions.
Sturgeon’s aides said they did not know whether the UK tax system allowed one-off bonuses to be made tax-free and were not aware whether it had been done before. One said it was down to the prime minister to confirm whether he liked the proposal, before working out the logistics. Downing Street has been approached for a comment on the feasibility of the request.

Front line NHS staff are having to put themselves at high risk of covid every day, imagine its why they have been chosen over police/fire brigade etc
As are the police and the fire brigade.
How does a fireman know the house fire he has gone to put out isn't occupied with covid positive people?
Look at the cases of police officers been spat on by scumbags claiming they've "got the rona".
So not only are NHS workers getting a payrise (justified by the way) they are getting a bonus whilst the other emergency services don't get a bonus and with the cost of living increasing, effectively are getting a pay cut too.

Sturgeon is playing politics with people's lives much like Johnson and co are doing. She isn't a saint.

She’s buying votes for independence as that’s all she really cares about

Yes but those who are getting this pay rise are working with covid patients every day, much more of a chance of catching it than the fire brigade walking into someones home who may have it.

Some people are applying bias here. I have no idea why sturgeon is rewarding the nhs staff, whatever her motive it's a good thing and I welcome it on the back of years of static pay in a stressful low paid job.
And she's including other health care staff as well.
