Nick Cave in Stockton

It’s a dear do!

£150 for two tickets in stalls. Was almost £100 per ticket in circle which I couldn’t bring myself to purchase.

Although expensive it will be a great gig and can’t wait to see The Globe. Nick Cave on Teesside doesn’t happen often (has it ever happened?).

First gig since The Wedding Present in Boro which I think was December 2019!

I'm old enough to have seen The Birthday Party
That's amazing!

I agree with your other sentiments, I no longer get excited about his new stuff (and in some cases I never even buy it). But, because I love his earlier work, I would like to see him live. Over the last few years I have had tickets to see him a couple of times, but on both occasions 'life' got in the way and I couldn't attend the gigs.

As for his books I really enjoyed Ass saw the Angel and the more recent Death of Bunny Monroe.

Those ticket prices are high to me, but I suppose they'll sell out in no time, so what do I know?

I first saw him on "The Firstborn is Dead" tour and seen him on almost every tour since. I'm with DCI GH on missing Mr Harvey and finding Warren Ellis a dulling influence, much as I really enjoyed The Dirty Three. Still, I'm coming up for his Stockton gig, so quite looking forward to it. I'm also going to see Bob Mould in Glasgow. Doubly exciting.

Did anyone go for the £105 tickets with a private bar experience.................rip off

10:40 and loads of tickets left, I'm surprised, even at stupid prices I thought it would sell out straight away.

I'm not bothering to go, Tom Robinson is on at The Georgian that night and I bought tickets months ago to see Scritti Politti at the Sage on the same night so I will be at one of those and it looks like being Scritti Politti.

I saw Nick Cave at the Sage last time. I thought he was great and enjoyed the show but the ticket prices for the Globe show are insane. If I was paying those prices then I'd want to see the real deal - Tom Waits.
Likewise ... though if the unimaginable happened and it was indeed Waits instead of Cave ... the prices would be probably double what people are paying to see Cave at The Globe :ROFLMAO: .. his shows certainly don't come cheap, do they it seems .. anyone on here lucky enough to have seen Waits before??

If there was only one ever more gig I could choose from to get to see, it would be the man himself, Waits.

Don't hear much from the guy these days apart from acting so doubt I'll ever get to see the guy ... would love to know what he's been up to .. something as smart as the last instalment Bad As Me would be perfect. The last new song I heard from him was 'One Last Look' which he played for his friend Letterman during one of the last Letterman shows. Was perfect and very apt for his friend, moving stuff.

I really don't want to miss Cave at the Globe .. such a coup for the area, huge stuff .. but expected the tickets would sell out in seconds... guess they more or less did. So very doubtful I'll be in attendance I'd imagine unless come near the time I come across a ticket anyone may be selling for not an outrageous fee haha. Have a friend who has an important job at the place he just moved to so doubt I could even wangle a ticket on the sly held by ... he can't even manage to get one himself by the looks! haha

Plenty of tickets left as of this morning.

Finally bit the bullet and bought a ticket for tonight's show in Sheffield. Can't wait. Setlist heavy on the last two albums but I imagine they'll be performed impeccably (they always seem to be with him).

Seems Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing has been introduced in the UK as well by the way - pretty sure the seats I bought were originally 90 odd quid when I checked on the day of release, £42 last night (y)

Maybe they are staring to realise people can't or wont pay the prices they are asking. Tickets left for most dates on the N.C tour. Sure when I went a couple of years ago it sold out in rapid time.

Mate of mine just got tickets for Alanis Morissette in Leeds. I'm sure he paid less than when I looked at the prices when tour was announced. So maybe you are correct about the dynamic ticket pricing.

Yep, I've booked a gig in NYC for next summer on ticketmaster and they actively tell you now that they dynamically price based on demand. Makes sense and potentially some "bargains" to be had if you risk events not selling out.

Interesting - Nick Cave tickets for the Globe not available viaTicketmaster web site.

Via the Globe web site & buying via ATG plenty of tickets available and all but three are now priced at £40.15 (plus the booking fee).

You can sit in the stall in row K for £40.15, can't remember what they were when they went on sale but they were a lot more than that.

Yep, pretty sure £40.15 was the lowest price when they came out, the upper circle in Sheffield sold out immediately (they were all £40).

It then went 60, 80, and 90/100 I believe.

Yep, around 2-2.5 hours worth there.

Earlier in the tour he was finishing with "darker with the day" - hopefully reinstated tonight for Sheffield. :)
