No Half Season Tickets

Another stinker of a decision from the club. Often an easier route for the less well off in our area to access professional football. It’s now either pay full price walk up, fork out for a season ticket or **** off.

Did the Boro Forum hear about this decision?

Exactly. I really don't like the club we're becoming. The way they treat the fans is nothing short of disgraceful.

Our club is turning into a joke with clowns running this circus! First they alienate the disabled and their PA's, now it's the turn of the less well off. Some people can't afford a full season card, but buy half season cards as Christmas presents for family members.
We sure know how to look after our fans- NOT !!

The supporters forum is full of people like Rob, and no offence meant, but they are people that have held a season ticket and traveled home and away for years. These sort of decisions don't affect them just like other issues like walk-up prices, pride cards, ticket offers, priority points, early bird prices, club shop delivery fees, streaming prices, radio commentary rights etc.

The club has always taken the **** with fans, especially those that can't commit to a season ticket or live outside of Teesside. "Community club" is the biggest pile of horse **** I've ever heard.

Maybe one day a lot more people to wake up too how poorly ran we actually are. These clowns have made mistake after mistake the country’s most deprived region, factually with the most extortionate season ticket prices in the division is enough but this? Not surprised in the slightest seems to me the club will believe a load of fans will buy now to make more and boost the numbers. Selfish as **** as per from 3 complete clowns

I got my first ST last season as a Xmas present and have renewed for a full one this year..
I’d always lived or worked away so it was never viable before but even at my late stage, the half season ticket is what’s persuaded me to continue with a full ST..

They’re going to be missing out with others like me…

This, whenever I have mentioned about the club giving info on the delay in tickets for some away matches, it gets dismissed on here, usually imo because that person(s) know they will have tickets so can't see any issues about it. Genuine fans concerns are dismissed as an irrelevance.

Bottom of the championship and thousands of empty seats every week yet the club closes off an initiative to get more fans into the ground. It would be funny if any other club apart from our own was this incompetent

I'm not sure the "half season" ST was really that good a deal? I can't remember looking at the numbers perhaps someone could show the numbers.

Any how what I think they should do is a "Membership Card" like the old Pride Card that can be used as an E-ticket and for (made up number) £20 gives you a discount on match tickets of say £3-4-5 per game so you attend a certain number of games to get your money back and maybe save a few quid if you go often enough. Numbers pulled out of thin air so tweak to make it work for the club and punters.

It probably was a Christmas present for a good amount of people who wouldn’t do a full season, and possibly to get the early bird price. It’s guaranteed income and fans in the ground that the club is turning down.

I could understand it if the ground was sold out every week, but with almost 10k empty seats this seems bizarre

A strange decision. Be interesting to hear why from the club. Its a chance to get people to be tied in/ committee to attend every match from christmas no matter if the team was not performing great. Now people could just not attend if we were not providing the right results and attendamces will drop

Spot on.

The club clearly don't want people getting a half season card and then taking advantage of the early bird price the following season. Beggars belief this, it really does. Why would you not want more season card holders? The club have lost the plot.
