That's it for another season of Nobby's Notebook Sportsfans. We have completed 3 full seasons of match reports and assessments of opposition players, many of which have subsequently moved on for incredible sums of money
I've been quoted by Neil Warnock on Kieffer Moore and Dana in her Football League World articles. We have signed 2 of my recommendations in McGree and O'Brien and I've really enjoyed being a local celebrity.
Will keep youse all posted over the Summer with any breaking news Hopefully Sorba Thomas will be one of those incoming
I was hoping the steward yesterday would let me go round the pitch with the players but he just said I would be arrested when I politely asked him Disgrace tbh
Anyway onto Watford who looked much like a mid table side. No.15 Boro lad Matty Pollock did quite well despite getting booked on 20 mins.
No.12 Ken Sema looked threatening on the left in the opening exchanges and put in a great cross for Bayo but Luke Ayling had the better of him after that.
The two players that impressed me were on the right hand side No.45 Andrews and No 18 Asprilla.
They had twice number of touches than the left sided players and caused us problems particularly in the second half where they combined well.
No.18 Yaser Asprilla just shaded it and is my Notebook choice. It was his corner that led to the Watford goal and he played some lovely cross field passes and put some decent crosses in. Great close control, a clever and pacey player who will go onto bigger and better things.
Age 20, the Columbian has already played 4 times for the international side scoring 2 goals.
He's in the Notebook
That's it guys, have a great Summer everyone and see you next season
